Pre School Swimming Lessons

New Born to 4 Months	4 Months to 9 Months	9 Months to 16 Months	16 Months to 30 Months
Slow paced, peaceful, relaxing and magical - you and your newborn baby together. We teach you how to handle your baby in the water whilst allowing the water to support them. They enjoy the freedom water provides with the wonderful massaging effects on there little bodies. We encourage lots of eye contact with gentle activites and songs. Many parents like to purchase a badge & certificate to show how clever their baby is in the water. Level 1 in the STA Starfish Awards is awarded free of charge at the end of this course. Wonderful, full of splashing and smiles - as your baby becomes interested in all their surroundings. Your baby will be moving from reflex to voluntary movements. We will teach you how to hold your baby in the water whilst following small excersises designed to maintain their trust and confidence. By the use of word assosiation and repetition we will teach your little ones to reach out, kick, turn, hold on, and much more. All activities are carefully balanced to ensure they have fun and stay relaxed. Repetition is fun, reassuring and promotes learning. Many parents like to purchase a badge & certificate to show how clever their baby is in the water. Level 2 in the STA Starfish Awards is given free of charge at the end of this course. Animated in the water splashing and able to move at quite a pace. They are learning to ride aboard your bodies without being held so much by you. Learning independence in the water with short swims teacher to parent, turning from the side of the pool, push and glides front and back with and without swimming aids. All activities are carefully balanced to ensure they have fun and stay relaxed. Repetition is fun, reassuring and promotes learning. There underwater journeys are becoming longer and they are starting to turn underwater and hold on to the side unaided. Exhaling in the water is also being mastered. Many parents like to purchase a badge & certificate to show how clever their baby is in the water. Level 3 in the STA Starfish Awards is awarded free of charge at the end of this course. 16 months - 2.5 years Blossoming of language, our babies are walking, talking little independent beings. Repeated kicking skills, reaching arms, breathing exercises. Swims from teacher to parent, jumping in skills adding rotations back to the safety of the side, swimming on the back independently with and without swimming aids. Diving for treasure with their parents and others fun actives as a group with songs. Many parents like to purchase a badge & certificate to show how clever their baby is in the water. Level 4 in the STA Starfish Awards is awarded free of charge at the end of this course.
